Huge trees on Mill Lane not being maintained

Reported via mobile anonymously at 08:44, Friday 10 January 2025

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

We are currently experiencing a burst water pipe and burst sewage pipe on our road, the location of both is in close proximity to extremely large trees along the council-owned verges. I can’t help but wonder if the roots of these trees have exacerbated the issue? I also want to note that the council were due to cut some branches in July 24 but the work was not carried out (that I can tell) Mill Lane has many large trees and I would urge the council to investigate whether these could be creating issues with sewage and drainage. I would also urge them to at the very least do some tree maintenance as the leaves from the trees make the roads very slippery in Autumn/Winter as well as overhanging branches causing hazards for drivers. I do think the council need to also make it clear to homeowners on this road which specific trees are the homeowners responsibility and which are the council’s responsibility. Thank you.
