Damage to Verge for 20 years

Reported via desktop in the Damage to the grass verge category by Vicki Spencer-Skeen at 11:42, Mon 9 December 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

The corner of this verge has been like this for the 20 years I have lived at 71. I have reported this problem numerous times. I have previously be told you would look to put a hard surface just on this corner, to then be told there wasn't the money to do it. Each time you come to repair it. Soil is put down and seeds. The whole process starts again. Vans, lorries and the dustcart cannot get round this corner without driving over the grass verge. At its worse the grass verge stands about2 foot above the kerb level. It gets filled with rain water that then ends up on the slip road as per photos sent by vehicles that can't round. On Friday 6th December a tree was planted (shown in photos). What is the point of this? One it will probably get hit and knocked down. And to say the least why on earth did it get planted here? Today someone came back put wooden supports round this tree, parked to one side of the entrance and 3 van drivers squeezed their vans through he space over the verge.
