The new cycle of crossings in West Street

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.
The new road layout and cycle lanes on West Street have made the road significantly more dangerous despite the claim it would improve safety. Let me start with the cycle lanes. Cyclists now consider this their own lane and generally are travelling way faster than the road traffic, at the junction of upper west street cars are crossing the cycle lane and cyclists and suddenly faced with slow cars and lorries crossing the lane in front of them. It is only a question of time before a cyclist is injured or killed by this crazy layout.
Likewise, the crossings further along west street are now so dangerous. Without traffic lights, these are highly ineffective, given speeding cars and lorries and cyclists, coming from either direction fail to see pedestrians so crossing on these is way worst than the previous island layout.
I have witnessed numerous dangerous situations in the last couple of months since the supposed road safety improvements with cars hitting the new bollards, to cars skidding to stop at the crossing and nearly hitting cyclists travelling way to fast as people turn into driveways.
On a supposed benefit of slowing traffic on West Street, its has made little to no impact on speeding. Despite numerous requests for some form of speed control on the second just after the high street, vehicles continue to rapidly accelerate after leaving the town or entering the town. Outside of heavy traffic, I would estimate that the average car and lorry is travelling at at least 40 MPH. As previously requested, even simple speed control notifications would go a long way to helping control speed yet the council denied the need for this, which is clearly completely wrong,
Surrey county council and the local council has failed to ensure the correct level of safety for the community and when accidents and injuries do occur it will be clearly attributable to the disregard of concerns raised by numerous users of this section of road unless a re-assessment is undertaken urgently to address the many issues this largely unconsidered investment in road safety has been undertaken,
