Increased Wisley Traffic in Ripley from A3 South

Reported via Android anonymously at 11:07, Wed 27 November 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

It appears the new road layout to access RHS Wisley will result in a huge additional toll of traffic through Ripley High Street (B2215). A3 traffic bound for Wisley from (or to) the south will access the new 'Wisley Lane' via Ripley. That will be much quicker (and fewer miles) than continuing on the A3 to M25 Jct 10 and then turning back south to leave the A3 by B2215 and B2039. Ditto when leaving RHS Wisley and travelling south. Logically, visitors will travel south through Ripley and re-join the A3 at Burnt Common.

It is not be clear to me who owns this issue - SCC or National Highways which actually changed the access to Wisley. But it will be a major issue.
