Fallen tree across footpath

Reported via desktop anonymously at 09:56, Wednesday 27 November 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

A tree came down across a wooded footpath that runs parallel to Chobham Road up to the Garibaldi crossroads in Knaphill during the early hours of Monday morning 25/11. It has brought down a BT OpenReach cable which is around my neck height and in the dark was quite a hazard. I contacted BT Monday 25/11. The location is around the GU21 2QN area, and the cable is attached to telegraph pole DP 34 - near enough on the corner of Maytrees/Chobham Road. The entrance to the wooded footpath is directly opposite the telegraph pole, and you need to access via the track and turn left at the barred gate. The fallen tree is a few metres along the footpath. BT cannot do anything about it until the fallen tree is removed. Their reference no is; 2579878633
