Roots causing a hazard on the pavement!

Reported via mobile in the Roots causing hazard on the pavement category anonymously at 16:49, Wednesday 6 November 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

Dear Sir/ Madam, I reported this problem before but nothing was done. The tree roots have damaged and raised the tarmac outside no. 7A Park Rise. As the tree has already taken up half the width of the pavement , the raised tarmac is a danger to pedestrians especially when the fallen leaves disguise the damage. I was clearing the leaves in my front garden on Monday afternoon during hometime, ( 4 black sacks of it) there were multiple instances of school children tripping over the exposed tarmac and roots. Serious accident is waiting to happen. Not only the tarmac and tree roots need to be fixed, the fallen leaves need to be swept regularly during Autumn. Yours faithfully, Cecilia Shiels
