Rain water flows down drive not along road to drain

Following the recent resurfacing of Forest Road (a most welcome resurface), the height of the new road surface is now at the same level as the kerb stones to our drive (Rookhurst).

During heavy downpours of rain, the water does not travel down the road to the nearest drain but instead flows down our drive. Whilst the drive drainage can cope with the rain falling on it, it cannot keep up with the additional water coming from the road and is overwhelmed resulting in flooding of our garage.
