Pavement fully overgrown pushing people onto the road

Reported via desktop anonymously at 10:37, Monday 28 October 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

The footpath was built as the red line on the image attached to this email. Unfortunately this is heavily overgrown & despite some recent pruning this path is not useable making it unsafe On the image attached, the area marked 1 is totally overgrown & the footpath disappears into the greenery. This needs to be cut back to make the path safe to use & avoid pedestrians stepping onto the road marked by the path where number 3 is noted. Cars approach this junction at some speed making this dangerous. In addition the path around area 2 is heavily overgrown & needs clearing to fully expose the path. At present you walk on the grass inches from the fast road. Also the visibility for people crossing back at point 4 is vastly reduced by this overgrown element - you start to cross thinking the road is clear & then a car appears. In addition the footpath along by 5 is very uneven & overgrown too Photos attached show the covering to the path in area 1 & you can see the path disappearing
