Dangerous breaking up of tarmac around manhole cover, The Street

Reported via desktop in the Pothole on a road - More than 150mm wide and more than 40mm deep category by Karen Young, Deputy Clerk, West Horsley Parish Council at 17:12, Monday 14 October 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

The tarmac around the manhole cover has broken up and is causing a danger. In the photo, you can see a couple of 'chunks' of tarmac that someone has already removed from the road as they were loose. There are a couple of hub caps lying on the side of the road, presumably from cars that have hit the hazard. It is not clear whether the damage is from the previous repair or not.
