Road Flooding
Reported via mobile in the Part of the road or pavement is flooded category anonymously at 07:43, Monday 14 October 2024
Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.
At the moment as you will be well aware SCC are changing the road surface and various other things on West Street / Buckland Road between Park Lane and Flanchford Road. The junction between Flanchford Road and Buckland Road collects water on it every time it rains - see pic below of the area that I am referring to. This has been a problem for many years. As SCC is spending so much time and money on the road I assumed that they would correct the long term fault and when relaying the road, and would resolve the problem. The area in question has been stripped off - resurfaced, and still collects water everyone time that it rains. There are even drains but for some reason SCC have decided not to have the water running into the drains but leave it to collect on the road. Please can you explain to me why you have not repaired the road so that it drains properly? I would duly request that as you are doing all of this work that you fix the long term problem. I see on the weekly email from SCC that the West Street works will be concluded by the end of this week. Please confirm to me that you are doing the repair.
