Pedestrian Crossing for Bus Stop

Reported via desktop in the Road safety improvement category anonymously at 17:38, Thursday 10 October 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

The bus drop off point at the bus stop, heading towards Guildford on the A246 has no stopping place for anyone to pick up their children, without using parking on the other side of the road. Therefore, children are having to cross a very busy road at peak times of the day, when traffic is fast and there are no safe gaps for children to cross safely. Children who are not collected still need to cross the road to reach pavements and East Horsley. Please could you investigate the possibility of installing a pedestrian crossing near the bus stop, to allow all individuals to cross safely? Many thanks,
