NEAR MISS heading into on coming traffic,

Reported via mobile in the Road safety improvement category anonymously at 13:01, Monday 7 October 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

Heading west bound on the bend of the A246, a Aston Martin heading east was in west bound lane on the corner. According to the road marking this is not illegal but the road marking need to be reviewed, as this was centimetres away from a head on collision. The "pull in" markings need to be set earlier for those heading eastbound with solid white lines as you near the corner. If you require I can send the video of the incident. I have also seen multiple drivers heading west bound and then turning right into salvation place, extremely dangerous. If these issues are not fixed it wont be long before a serious injury or fatality.
