Due to no drains our private road is suffering with the amount of water travelling down the hill.
Reported via mobile in the Flooding not on the highway but in a park or private land category anonymously at 20:45, Friday 4 October 2024
Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.
From the junction of Upper Hale Rd and Folly hill, there are NO drains to collect rain water. The water travels down Folly Hill, into Lawday Link and straight down Lawday Place lane which is deemed as a private road apparently. There has been significant damage to the road which is an unmade dirt track as it is. It is slowly washing away causing damage to lumps of concrete holding it together and has caused a mass of erosion at the top of the road leaving a big and dangerous hole. As vehicles turn in there are almost forced to ground their vehicles due to the depth. Please can I request appropriate drainage is installed to deal with the amount of water travelling down Folly Hill and also a decent repair to our road that is now half the amount of gravel and cement that it was a year ago? It is not fair to leave this road in such a state because of the lack of drains. The water creates a stream that travels down our road and gathers at the bottom of Spring Lane.
