Overgrowth on & over the pavement

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown hedge blocking pavement category anonymously at 13:50, Wednesday 2 October 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

Walking on the pavement inbetween Nutfield & Cormongers Lane is not possible in places without ducking the overgrowth or using one's arm to try to keep the branches away. Also, on the pavement itself the earth & weeds have encrouched so much that the pavement width is reduced, forcing pedestrians nearer to the kerbside. The A25 is frequently used by lorries going to & fro the waste depot in Cormongers Lane & enough walking space is required. I found myself having to walk on the road at times. There is also some overgrowth & ground clearance needed there too, in particular between Church Hill & the bridge over the M23. I hope you will make the public pavements more user friendly, they are hazardous & certainly not for wheelchairs or prams. Thank you,
