Dead and dying trees in Chapel Lane, Westhumble

Reported via desktop in the Diseased or dead tree category anonymously at 22:19, Monday 30 September 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

There are two fairly small, dead elms on the raised bank outside Merrydown in Chapel Lane, Westhumble, and a significantly larger one, almost dead, outside Winterberry. Adjacent to the latter, a smaller elm, previously reported as diseased, fell into the road last year, fortunately not coinciding with passing vehicles or cyclists, but presenting a hazard until a resident removed it. If this tree were to fall into the road, it could be very dangerous.
