Thames Water have damaged historic setts

Reported via desktop in the Utility company roadworks category anonymously at 17:14, Wednesday 25 September 2024

Sent to Surrey County Council less than a minute later.

Between 24-25 Sep, Thames Water attended site for the 3rd time to rectify damage they previously caused to Mill Lane's historic setts.

- First time they removed the setts and replaced with tarmac. - Second time they replaced with setts but not spaced with the other setts. - Now they have correctly re-spaced the setts but have left the setts and pavement areas covered in blue spray paint, including the letters 'TW'. See attached photos.

Permit reference MU302000031699007-001-05

Please note Mill Lane falls within Guildford's historic Conservation Area and it is totally unacceptable that this paint be left on the setts and pavement. The paint was not there before and therefore requires removal.
